Senior Jane Koch is the 3A State Champ in 100yd Butterfly with a time of 56.97. She was the bronze medalist in 50yd Freestyle with a Personal Record time of 23.95.
This was Jane's second individual state championship in three years. Jane is a USC swim commit.
Mary Katherine Stricklin is 3A State Champion in Tennis
Proud girls tennis coach Melanie Michel reports that senior Mary Katherine Stricklin won five matches in two days to earn the title of 3A State Champion. She also won the tournament's Sportsmanship Award. She adds these to her All-State and All-Region honors.
Mary Kat is the daughter of LeeAnn Stricklin and Joe Stricklin.
On the November 2022 College Signing Day, seniors Jane Koch and Sam Kolowith inked their college commitments. Jane will swim for USC and Sam will run for University of Tennessee.
Dreher Boys Cross Country Team won the State 3A Championships. Our seven state runners were Nicholas Bundy, Ivan Diaz, Isaac Green, Liam Jones, Sam Kolowith, Eli Roth, and Patrick Walsh.
Sam Kolowith led the way by coming in first place in 3A!
He, along with Liam Jones (fourth place) and Ivan Diaz (thirteenth place), were named to the All-State team.
Our Cross Country head coach is Tim Supplee, the PE teacher at Meadowfield. He is ably supported by assistant coach and Dreher librarian, Dr. Laura Haverkamp, and by volunteer coach Jacob Mangione, sophomore and track team member at USC.
