"It is with great sadness that I write to you today.  After fighting COVID-related medical complications while hospitalized, our very own Mr. Damien Jackson has passed away.  

Coach Jackson was beloved by his colleagues and students and known to be a popular teacher on campus.  He taught junior/senior level mathematics classes and served as our football team’s offensive coordinator, as well as our girl’s track and field coach.  His positive attitude and love for Dreher will be sorely missed."

The track meet on Wednesday, April 14, was dedicated to Coach Jackson.  The meet began with a moment of silence and Coach Jackson's widow, LaTonya Jackson, fired the ceremonial first shot from the starter pistol.

A memorial program for Coach Jackson took place on Saturday, May 8, at 9:00 AM at Memorial Stadium.
